Hi Friend!
Here’s music from the brilliant composer and violinist, Jessie Montgomery: her Rhapsody No. 1 for solo violin, written in 2014.
I love both the pensive vibe and the surprising and luscious harmonies. Deceptively difficult, I so enjoyed learning this delightful piece and hope you enjoy!
Stay safe, warm, and healthy <3

I Love your interpretation of this piece! So beautiful, and I subscribed to your channel. After playing violin for 9 years then taking a break in college, during the pandemic I’ve fallen back in love with violin music as well as playing. What is your opinion of the difficulty of this piece? In comparison to other notable violin pieces, what would you compare this piece with other violin pieces in terms of difficulty? Thank you so much for your beautiful playing! 🙂
Hello Marisa! Wow, thank you so much for your generous and kind comment! And thank you for subscribing to my channel! I really appreciate it :). I’m so glad to hear that you are falling back in love with violin music and I hope you will keep me posted on your progress! I think one of the great things about Jessie’s piece is that it is both virtuosic AND lies beautifully in the hands, probably because Jessie is a violinist herself and knows how to write well for the instrument. Are you interested in playing this piece yourself? I think you should learn it, it’s really beautiful and so gratifying. Keep in touch and thanks again for commenting and subscribing! 🙂
